At the last Network Graphics meeting held in July at

M.I.T., we tentatively scheduled the next Network Graphics

meeting which is being hosted by Stanford AI, for October

17, 18, and 19. Because the Network Working Group meeting

is being held on October 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14 it has been

decided to postpone the Network Graphics meeting. As soon

as a new date for the meeting is established it will be

announced via an RFC. It is expected that the meeting will

be held in the San Francisco area sometime in November or

early December.

PROBLEMThe planned Network Graphics meeting conflicted with the Network Working Group meeting schedule.
MECHANISMOrganizers postponed the meeting and planned to announce a new date in another RFC.
RESCHEDULINGThe meeting was expected to take place in the San Francisco area in November or early December.

§1Reason for Postponement

The Network Graphics meeting had been tentatively scheduled at Stanford AI for October 17-19. The Network Working Group was meeting October 10-14, so organizers decided to postpone the graphics meeting.

The graphics meeting was postponed after another network meeting was scheduled shortly before it. Organizers wanted to avoid holding the events back to back.

§2Expected New Date

The RFC says that a new meeting date would be established and announced in a later RFC. The expected location was the San Francisco area, with a possible date in November or early December.

The organizers planned to choose a new date and announce it later. They expected the meeting to be in the San Francisco area.

§3Previous Scheduling

The October dates had been tentatively set at the previous Network Graphics meeting held in July at MIT. The September notice reports the decision to change those tentative dates.

The October dates had been tentative since the group's July meeting. This notice updates participants that the schedule changed.
