TIPUG
To any TIP users who have not been receiving updates to their TIP User's
Guide or who have not been receiving copies of TIP User's Group Notes:
please send me your name (along with the TIP and Host you normally use)
and I'll make sure you get on a distribution list for these materials.

§1TIP User Materials
RFC 457 addresses TIP users who have not been receiving updates to the TIP User's Guide or copies of TIP User's Group Notes. It is a short notice about distribution of those materials.
The notice is for TIP users who are not receiving the user's guide updates or group notes. It explains how to request them.
§2How to Join the Distribution List
Users are asked to send the author their name, along with the TIP and Host they normally use. The author says he will make sure they are placed on a distribution list for the materials.
Send your name and the TIP and Host you normally use. The author will add you to the mailing list.
§3A Distribution Request
The RFC documents a request for user names and network access details so that guide updates and group notes can be distributed. It does not describe a TIP protocol or its technical operation.
This is an administrative notice about receiving documentation. It does not specify how a TIP works.
